Bridget Jones 3 Movie

There has been word of a third Bridget Jones movie since quite a while. Both Renee Zellweger and Colin Firth had shown interest in reprising their roles and I guess Hugh Grant would be glad to come back. A few words from COlin Firth about a potential Bridget Jones 3 movie:

"[...] sometimes a third film is an improvement on a second. I don’t really want to be part of a perpetual franchise, but we're all getting so old! I think the idea of Mark D'Arcy and Daniel Cleaver and Bridget Jones in advanced stages of deterioration could be quite fun. We’re making a comedy after all."

Unfortunately the project fell in development limbo along the road. But sounds like there's reason to hope again: according to the Daily Mail Director, Paul Feig (who helmed the hit comedy movie Bridesmaids) is in early negotiations to direct Bridget Jones 3. So hopefully, the film will enter production soon.

The story of Bridget Jones 3 will likely be based on the further adventures of Bridget Jones that Author Helen Fielding wrote in The Independent: Bridget (Renee Zellweger) tries to get pregnant but once again is torn between Mark (Colin Firth) and Daniel (Hugh Grant).

Anyway, more information about the Bridget Jones 3 movie as soon as details emerge.
